How to get the best experience from a game

Buy it a few months after release by then they have fixed all the bugs and released the patches to improve gameplay.

The Developers relay on the day one sales where they get the most. Given how much gamers demand they need every penny they can get.

Or when they do the "Game of the Year Edition" with all the DLC.

It depends. Personally I prefer to buy most of my games close to launch especially if there is an online component because I like playing it when most other people are relatively new at it as well plus when the buzz and excitement around the game is fresh. I can generally handle most of the bugs in games anyway unless they literally prevent me from playing or progressing in the game.

Good point because I bought The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt at launch but the bugs are so frustrating. Now I'm waiting for more patches to fix glitches and bugs so I can play it. Same with most games these days.

Boxing and skate boarding game is a great online game some people think it is hard but the new graphics looks vast so it looks better I wont be embarrassed to play on it then!
