The gamers closet to be exact.
I don't know what it is about playing games that people are so embarrassed about.
Maybe because it carries a negative connotation due to the way the media portrays us as a fat, balding, bearded man with potato chips on our chest and carpel tunnel? Or maybe it's because, according to the media, we don't have a social/love life?
I was recently talking about CoD 4 (yes I still play it) with a friend and a guy walking by asks what console I was on. So I tell him I'm on PS3 but of course everyone in California has an xbox360 and he keeps walking. A couple seconds later another guy walking by overhears us (this time with friends) and says, "Dude, what console are you on?" Again I say PS3. This time, I get shocking news. "Oh dude, add me my psn ID is [ID WITHHELD]" I was shocked not only did I just have 2 gamers walk by and talk to me about gaming IN PUBLIC but they didn't look like gamers at all. One was the "****clown" and the other was on JV football (I'm a sophomore). The next person to add me was one of our first string Varsity football players (I knew him from football freshman year) and by the end of the day I had 7 PSN ID's and 11 Gamertags.
Don't fall into the trap that is the media! Go out and do what you do best, GAME!
