I cant use a joystick/fightstick....

Ive been playing sf4 for months with a fightpad and im almost g1. now that i use a fightstick (TE edition) its hard for me to control my character.

I need some tips on how to control the joystick.How do you do it?

practice is all you need. i picked up the arcade edition stick at the start of the month and i cant ever imagine going back to a controller after only a few weeks.

heres some tips for fellow street fighter players who are doing this transition: Play HD Remix. It has a much more strict input system and its already helping me play sf4 better and i only started doing this shortly after i made this threadFree_Marxet

practice really put in the time after a while it will become second nature

Practice, I didn't mind doing it as much as the fight stick was a lot of fun, and I got it right when I moved to BB so I was even worse at the game than I should have been but it was ok. Cause I never had the moments where I was like if I just had my controlelr I could have done x. Keep with it, they are a lot of fun.

Wait... if the fightpad is working for you, why switch? Seems like you're doing just fine without an arcade stick.
