After wanting to play this game for ages but not being able to find it at a reasonable price where I live I finally picked up a copy yesterday at a decent price. I got to say after kicking off with the tutorial which I felt like I was going to need having never played a GH game before, I am loving it. Started on easy career and got to the set five, then U unlocked The Metal a song that i have been listening to ever since watching The Pick of Destiny, that was awesome. Seriously I am at work now and can't remember the last time that I was so excited about getting home to play a game.

Went to bed at 1am last night trying to get more than my record 85% on The Metal at medium which I didn't think was bad for someone who has played the series a total of 2 hours.

Anyway for anyone who, like me, was thinking over and over about getting this and never did, just do it you will not regret it.

Guitar Hero does rule. You should go check out the Guitar Hero Leagues Union here on GameSpot ;)

I'm the same, I was intrigued by Guitar Hero when the first one came out, but never really had enough interest to buy. I played the PS3 version at a friends house over the weekend and loved it. I had a quick look on Play and found it for the PC for £45 with controller, not a bad price, so I ordered it and it came yesterday. I just want to get out of work and play it.

I started off on Easy since it was the first GH game I'd played but I kept screwing up because what I was pressing didn't resemble the tune much. So I tried it on Medium and felt more comfortable, loving playing Disturbed - Stricken, best I've got so far is 95%, determined to get 100% some day :).

Rock on!

I am the same most of my mistakes on easy is because I play notes that aren't there since they only essentially give you half a tune.

My GF got me Rock Band along with GHIII on Christmas, needless to say, I've only played GHIII once while I've played the crap out of Rock Band. If you have the money, there is no reason to buy GHIII over Rock Band, none.

True. Not only that, but unless you're interested in the drum part of Rock Band, there's actually no reason to get it over GH. GH trumps RB on single player, big time.

I want to play guitar hero too, really bad. But i don't have the extra cash to go out and buy it. You'll like more playing it when you get to Hard mode and above.

Might take a while for me to get to hard mode, I am just getting used to medium now, hitting 86%+ most of the time. But any fast changes like rapidly switching B to Y I am finding real hard cos I can't move those fingers fast enough. Stuff like G-R is fine though.

thats great, so can most people. that doesn't mean one game is worth that kind of money. some people pay things called bills.
