I had an old, big fat Nintendo 64 about ten years ago, and I remember that, while I had a lot of games, I didn't play any of them except for one: Donkey Kong 64.

I was OBSESSED with it, and I don't use that word lightly. I really loved the game, and I had gotten pretty far in it, and then my console broke, and I forgot about it with the release of the Game Cube. Did anyone every play this game? If you have, what would be the DK game available for either GameCube or Wii that I could get that would be the most similar?

I really loved DK64, and I don't want to just let it get by the wayside.

Unfortunately there has never been another 3D DK platformer.

Part of the reason is that the developer RARE left Nintendo to work for Microsoft.

I'm right there with you - the RARE Platformers on N64 are some of my favorite games of all time. I absolutely can not wait for the new Banjo Kazooie on 360.

That's a shame. I really always thought DK64 was just the greatest game, oh well.

DK64 is my favorite game ever. throwing barrels at that giant armadillo.. the coconut gun, that insediously difficult boss fight in the factory with tiny kong. it was such an amazing game. if they made a remake for the 360, i'd definitely purchase oneMasterChief1013

Even though a remake for the 360 wouldn't happen (Nintendo and Microsoft are different companies), a remake for the Wii would just be plain freakin' sweet. It would really give you a great chance to take advantage of the motion sensitive features of it.
