I got 1 SNES that is pratically brand new about 4 years ago with still orignal stickers and warnings stuck to it for $10 and DKC from a kid at school which was awesome. I play on it alot and so it doesn't need anything done to it but the other two.....

I got a free SNES which was given to me by a older family member that is selling/giving away like about 3 decades worth of history throughout his house. Except this SNES suffered the fate of the yellow plaque. It works fine but I don't know excatly how to clean it up. If not I was thinking about gutting the machine and do a case mod for it and getting some custom decals made for it.

Then at value village I found another SNES for $20 which seems to be suffering the early stages of the yellow plaque. Is there a way or some measure I can take to help preserve its color? and I picked it up because I just friggin love the SNES and so I can say its the only system I have the most copies of in my entire collection :3

Lucky I havent been able to see an SNES in a store in ages (Only 14 so its really only been like 3 years)

But I would try bleaching it with very low amounts of it and just lightly rub it in or spot it.

Mineral spirits pulled off paint on my ps2 so that might work for you too.

Well I want to try a proven method not risk damaging the machine. That is why I am asking around first xP if not then Iw as going to shread the machine and then make a case mod for it and if I mess up I still got two other perfectly fine SNES's in way better condition.

ugh DKC isnt even worth playing, there are so many other games that are infinitely better. Sorry I dont know anything about how to clean them up, I think the ac adapter or the wiring in my snes died because one day I hooked it up and it wouldnt power on and I havent looked at it sense. I've never seen this plaque or discoloring you guys are talking about lol. Just wanted to say you newbies should check out the SNES list in my signature.

That is a very interesting article about plastics in general.
