...and I am addicted to it. Once you get past the learning curve, it's an absolute blast to play. I still need to discover (or play) The Sims, Civilization, and some others. What do you think?

I loved SC3K. Been tempted to pick up SC4 over Steam but I'm waiting for a sale on it.
Also, no SC thread is complete without this. I loved SC3K but not like this.
[QUOTE="KlownMaster"]I too am addicted, I've been playing SC4 for years, I suggest if you want more buildings/lots, and a good community you check out Simtropolis or SC4 Devotion. ichc1000x
I'm playing SimCity 3000.
Get yourself SimCity 4. It's the best game in the series by far. The sheer amount of building options and micromanagement in the game makes all the previous games look shallow and simple in comparison. How can you say it's the best one in the series when you admit that you've never played any of the other games? The console versions of SimCity were never as good as the PC versions, if only because of how inferior the controls were (although there were also usually other sacrifices made to the gameplay and graphics as well). Indeed, the SNES version of SimCity was SimCity 1 on the PC which is generally regarded to be the worst entry in the series.I've never touched the series since SimCity on the Super Nintendo, but I heard the series has done pretty well since then.
And, for the record, SimCity for the SNES will always remain the best one in the series, IMO.Metamania
Gameguy6700, it's because I have friends who've played the later games in the series at college and have told me that it was complicated and not designed very well. I've seen it for myself and it didn't look all that interesting to play.
Simcity on the SNES was simplified and easy to play.
It's a simulation game, it's supposed to be complicated. Knocking the later games for getting progressively more complicated is like saying that Super Smash Bros. 64 is the best fighter ever because it's the most simplistic one.Gameguy6700, it's because I have friends who've played the later games in the series at college and have told me that it was complicated and not designed very well. Smash Bros is not a fighting game. It's more like a party game of sorts that deals with brawling, but I wouldn't certainly call it a fighter.
That said, I just don't like games that are way too complicated. I prefer to play my games as easy and simple as it can be and have some in-depth strategy without all the hassle. But that's just me.
