i just took a closer look and the ps3's language is in japanese and i can get get a 40Gb one with MGS4 for the same price ($700) from australia in harvey norman. i want an american one which is 80GB and comes with MGS4 and is $499 USD which is like $522 AUD. Get it off ebay. If your reasonably sharp, you wont have any issues.

Basically you just need to make sure that they have (the seller) sold a few already, have over 95% feedbacks, and that you use paypal, so in the event of any problems, you'll get your money back.

Lastly I agree with getting the pal one, I mean the all play the same games anyway (all ps3's are region free with games.. you just wont be able to buy any movies here!!! :( no good!
