I never got Arkham Asylum. Did they make an alternate version of it?

I wanted to get the Batman game for the PS3.

Then sometime in 2010 I heard they were going to make another version of it? Somethig having to do with 3d or motion controls or just something, I don't know.

Has there been any news on this? Nothing's been reported here on GameSpot and I'm really wondering at this point

There was a Game of the Year edition released with 3D, there is also a sequel coming next year.

In all honesty, the 3D is a tad bit useless. I would recommend getting the original version instead. It's cheaper and not as cheesy.

Is there a point in asking if there are gameplay videos of the 3d? Like can I notice from just watching a monitor?

They made a 3D Game of the Year edition. I have it for the 360 and it's really good.

You're better off with the normal version. It's cheaper and a much better experience!

The GOTY version is one of the worst GOTY editions of any game in the past...well, maybe ever. You get 3D and a handful of extra challenge maps. Unfortunately, the challenge maps are the weakest part of the game in the first place, so you're much better off buying the original game as it's a lot cheaper.

I have the 3D version and it is well worth it. 3D is actually done pretty well. And if you dont like it, you still have the option to play in normal mode. If you can spend the extra 10 bucks, its well worth it. Not really sure what these other guys are talking about as far as sticking with the original? GOTY version is better and a unique experience.

Totally agree, I bought the GOTY version and the 3D is done very well, only thing I would recommend is that if you wear glasses like me, get some better 3D glasses like the ones at the cinemas, they're a lot easier to wear, either way the game is great, original or GOTY, unfortunately I accidently deleted my save file a few days ago, so I have to start again, ugh, and I'd got so far...
