I don't trade in video games anymore. I might want to come back to them and play them again.

I hardly sell games that i thought were amazing. I had a friend that sold his PS2 collection and he regrets it badly now.

I allways regret trading games, I've bought back a whole bunch of things. I think I've bought Blue Dragon about 4 times, lol.

Learn the hard way and don't do it, you have to buy them back if you want them now.

Back when the PS1 came out I sold my Sega genesis with all games, and later I sold about 10 of my PS2 games.

I regretted selling evey single one of them and over the past few years I have been buying back what I sold.

I feel your pain ;)

If you want to buy them, that's up to you, but I don't know why you would sell them in the first place.

I love having a shelf full of cases, always SOMETHING to play, that's what I hate about Steam, no physical evidence =(

This is the way I do it:

Once in a while I'll get a whole collection of new releases; save up, trade in, go all out and spend up to a couple hundred maybe. Then, little by little with the games I'm finished with (or feel that I'm finished with) I will trade them in when they are still new and re-acquire a couple of the titles for dirt cheap thatI previously traded that I'm jonesing to play again. Anyway you go about it, trading in games is losing money, but I feel in gaming I'm paying more for the experience than I am for the product.

I've never traded games in and never will. Many of the games you buy today will be rare and become collector's items in the future. Also it's nice to see your collection grow and get bigger and someday pass them on to your children. Wouldn't it be cool to have your gaming collection become a family heirloom someday?

I still have my N64. Don't play it much, but I still keep it. I still have my Game Boy Color and my GBA (which I don't use anymore since I have a GameBoy Player).

Plus trade-in values suck. If you really want to get rid of a game, sell it on eBay or Amazon. You'll get more.

I've had so many people tell me to trade in my games so I can finally get a current gen console and I always say no. I won't lose my entire gaming collection just so I can get a newer console. Plus I love all my games. I'll wait and slowly save up money, thank you very much.

Same here. I have traded in games in the past and (no matter the deal) I always regret it. Even the best deal still results in you selling the game for less than you'd pay for it in a year's time when you want to play it again. Sometimes you get lucky (especially with PC games) but not often.

I will only trade in games that I've had for a long time and only really played once or twice. Yep, I have a stack of those waiting to get traded in for xmas presents.

I have traded in many games before I regret some of the trade ins, but most of the time I think long and hard before trading or selling them. My biggest regret was giving away my NES lol.

On ebay/amazon. Not gamestop. you will get nothing at gamestop.

Btw, I once traded in half of my game collection (30 games, several acessories, etc, etc) and got 85 bucks. I was hoping to get a new console... *shudders*
