So a used store close to me has Ico in stock, used and complete, for $24. I've only played it once and then only for 30 seconds when it came out years ago, but I kinda have some interest in getting it. I heard it's kinda rare, and their games usually sell quick. So should I get it for that price? Sometimes they have good deals (SNES Chrono Trigger Complete for $30) and sometimes their games cost more used than they do new. Also is gameplay anything like SotC? Thanks in advance :D

I don't know.... I guess.

Are you in the Pal region by any chance. Because they got the better version of that game. Us, in the states, pretty much got a beta release. Pal region's version has a newgame+ feature where in the second playthru the fantasy language gets translated (you'll have to go to gamefaqs.com FAQ section to see a translation for the American version.), and duel player mode unlocks. Also, they got an alternate ending, and better overall controls and rumble features.... and a few other extras; such as a star war's lightsaber, if I recall right.

you are misleading them.

i bought mine for $3 like two months ago. you can usually find them on ebay for cheper than $24. now, that's not to say that there won't be people ou there selling them fo $150... but you arn't likely to see a actual auction going for that. it's not that great of a game anyway... i beat it the first time i played it in under 6 hours... died once... won't be playing it again. And what Threesixtyci said is true, the US version doesn't reward you at all for beating the game, but every other region coded version does.

while it can be had for less that $24 on ebay sometimes and certainly more you are always taking a risk using that site. the game could be broken or lost in shipping or whatever. ive learned my lesson from getting games off ebay and now i actually prefer the thrill of the hunt. you never know what will pop up at the used stores but i always get something good. plus its nice to support the local economy even though im very cheap and am sometimes mad i pay what i did for a game. i have ico and really enjoy it. it is a short game and we int he us get cheated by an inferior game compared to the rest of the world but it is still a good game. beautiful graphics (even by todays standards) and a unique game structure make it worth every penny. at this point in time its worth it just to be able to say you have it since its one of those games that is going up in price for a reason. its not that its super rare or was limited in release or was such a terrible game no one bought it and now people want it, its going up because more people are holding on to it because its a great game that had lowish sales numbers and people are rediscovering it. i bought mine from gamestop a few months ago for 15-20 bucks and never even though about passing it up. i saw it from the corner of my eye and just said "mine."

ICO is a beautiflly crafted adventure game. The controls are tight, the gameplay is excellent as is the storyline. If you're in the US, I've seen it at EB/Gamestop for about $20... you can look locally to see if they have it and check out the disc and case and manual.. but $24 is not too much, I bought the game new for $40 when it came out.. still play it and love it.
