I'd love an Earthbound/Mother collection on DS. Not possible though.

Apparently Nintendo stole some music or whatever and it would be too expensive to license now.

Meh that's unfortunate. I love the game's setting and I wish there were more real world-ish RPGs. I know of stuff like the Persona series but I want it to be more like Earthbound.

I know Nintendo don't have to do anything for anyone, and they can still get rich, but a little advertising and good marketing could ensure that this game would sell a lot and the Earthbound series would be recognized.

The game to me seems to be made for the DS and it really sucks that Nintendo won't pay there pocket change for the music rights. They weren't thinking when stealing the music and the reprocutions it would have (apparently)

They could replace the stolen music and problem solved. I mean, if a romhacker can do it, so can they.

Anything Mother would sell well with the "hardcore" Nintendo crowd considering how its one of the most wanted releases on any console.

Are you honestly saying this? With Internet elitists and such complaining about Chrono Trigger DS and Final Fantasy 6 gba, can you imagine the whining over Earthbound if it's not spick and span the same?

Yeah I'd enjoy one as well! How come Nintendo aren't doing it? Can we petition or ask them at E3 or something? I mean there has to be SOME communication between game companies and their fans right???

Elitists can whine all they want: if they want the game, those are the conditions. They're a minority and they're free not to buy it if a swapped midi disturbs them.

I'd love for one as well, but I think we should stop torturing ourselves thinking Nintendo will bother with this.

I will admit, at one point when I heard about Nintendo bringing back some franchises and getting into the 2D business, I for a second thought about a collection again. But it's foolish to even try and contact Nintendo about this, expecting a response.
