Civilization series: You only allowed to have 25 turns a day. Either spend some money to advance or wait for 24 hours for free. A new map cost 10 dollars to download. Also more money needed to boost research, culture, diplomacy, etc.

XCOM: You have to pay 10 dollars to bring back fallen soldiers to life, each. You can pay for 50 dollars to permanently removes the "permanent death" feature. Rare and (unfair) effective weapons also need to be bought with real cash.

The Witcher 3: Gwent cards can be bought individually but insanely overpriced. You can change Roach's fur colors for right amount of cash. Sex scenes can only be unlocked permanently for 50 dollars or so. Rare weapons can only be bought with real cash.

Elder Scrolls series: You can buy unfair weapons and armor at very early of the game but most likely come with 80 dollars price tag.

This has happened already with the Witcher. Just have a look at the upcoming GWENT game that follows the hearthstone model. I understand that these type of games make a lot of money but I'm disappointed in CD Projekt Red nonetheless.
