I love soccer, but I haven't played it in more than 6 months, due to a problem with my knee. I entered gamespot during that period of time. Though, it is boring to spend all day in the computer or watching TV. I really want to play soccer again.Thiago26792
Same, I used to play soccer all the time in summer but have been growing away from it because of school and homework, just havent had the timeto play....
I already have many hobbies outside of gaming.I'm no couch potato, asI am very active, and participate in Jiu-jitsu, Boxing, running, weight lifting. I think video gaming is my one sedentary (not active) hobby, and it really helps me relax, kind of helps balance everything out. I guess ifI didn't game, I'd read more (something I'd like to do more of). ;)
Most likely storytelling and D&D games.
I am happier playing then making games...and even when I have little interest in videos games, I rather be waiting and reading on games then DMing.
D&D & Storytelling where fun, but not even on the same scale. Also, when you see some peoples too often, they are less nice. Rather see them a lot less...hehehe. I still play, but honestly, I dunno if I will DM again or not. It has something to do with time invested VS return of pleasure. 1 group bring me a LOT more pleasure then DMing...but despite all of that, I may DM again, I just don't feel like it atm, and I don't DM if I am not feeling like it. :P
So, it could be blamed on MMOs, yet, are improvements really something to blame? I am having more fun that way. And since I am used to DM, I always feedback a lot on how the game systems works and what should be fined tuned and how. I won't change on that level, and the devs can always ignore me (or maybe listen, considering that the feedback is an hybrid between a player, and a DM, as I don't bother splitting that, I am ona happy mood, not a working mood). :P I never use any system without fine tuning some rules, even if only to say I change the world the way which please me. :P
When I DM, I like to have "out of the scales" campaigns, in a way or another...the players may have just too many things they could do and must choose between saving a Kingdom or another, saving a gal or another...and so on. I like the players to be incredibly powerfull and out of the scale...yet facing incredibly twisted villains (plots, not sure I am good at making these...complex)...or out of the scale villains, but that may become too fantasticly powerfull. I like to make my players stronger then Drizzt, Elminster and so on, but this is really time consuming.
I would prolly DM and play video games if I didn't have to work, but eh, with work...can't do everything else. Just too many "epic choices", and there are just no perfect answer.
I think I'm pretty well balanced already - I read a lot, go out with friends, etc.
I want to start going to the gym more often but it's not gaming that's in the way - it's my sleeping in

are you the chick from videogamegirl.com? dunno gamergirls....
I really only game on my days off. Other than that, I have work, my fiance, salt water reef aquarium, poisonous dart frog vivariums, I work out 4 times a week and read alot. I'm on here quite a bit too as I research corals and frogs on the internet. Come here for a break.
Edit: I also have my two hedgehogs that I have out and about regularly.
I live in the middle of nowhere USA. Population....Me and some other dude.
There is nothing to do here. You have to pack overnight gear to go to the walmart.
Id probably buy a dirtbike and just ride all the time. Or drink more ( if thats even possible )
Watch alot more movies too.
I play so much paintball, and I go to a WWII re-enactment every year for paintball, and I still play video games, I also read a lot, and in all that time, I also still manage to have time to watch movies, work out, go to college, and hang out with 'loved ones' (AKA - "Have a Life") :?. Something doesn't sound right... I didn't think I could do so much until I sat and thought about it.
Then when I'm done with the day, and I'm feeling talkative, I go onto gamespot forums, and probably end up staying up for a long time, because I get carried away in "discussions" - hence why my post count is high, and I didn't even know that I could post more then 100, hell, I don't even know what my post count is NOW.
i would play basketball more oftenly, rap, and focus more on school.TFrieden0928
Hang out with GF all day, sleep.
I work, hang out with gf, then play games and stuff.
I guess if I had to have a hobby outside of this, it'd be chess. I don't play chess, but I know how and I love watching people play it. That'd probably be my hobby. Books too, I'd read more.
Even though i am signed up on this video game website, most of my time is spent in the weight room, as i am quite the football player (not to sound cocky) or i would pick up the guitar because i have quite a passion for heavy metal or the like, i dont spend that much time playing video games, but i love them.
