Suppse you had a time machine and wanted to show the past how innovative and revolutionized the gaming world is today, what game would you bring back? What game do you think would amaze the gamers of the past? My pick would probably be Assassins Creed because of the graphics, story, and overall next-gen-ness. Your pick?

Hmm, good question. If I were the one say in 2000 I think I would be most impressed by Call of Duty 4, Gears of War or Assassins Creed.

I don't think i'd bring back anything from this gen. I might change my mind when Fallout 3, LBP, and Rage comes out.

I would be embarrassed to bring back most crap from this gen. It's simply not as fun as old games.

What's innovative about Gears, Assassins Creed, or Call of Duty. They're all well made games, but i see no out standing innovations in them.

I would go back to 1986 and Bring Metroid Prime. The gamers playing the original Metroid would be blown out of their mind.

I would go back to early 90's and I would bring back Space Siege and the Sonic DS and tell Sega that this is the only crap we have to look forward to from them. Although, it'll be hard to explain why I haven't brought any Sega hardware.

lmao, yeah, i would go to back to EA with most games they make today and show them the horrid games they produce. But theyd probably be happy that theyre industry giants.

I'd bring a mass load of games, in my library... which is 12 360 games.

There are a few routes I could take here. -Go into the future, get a top-of-the-line gaming PC, then go all the way back to the 1970s (maybe 1980s) and introduce everyone to Crysis and near-photorealistic graphics in real time. -Go into the future again, pick up Red Faction: Guerrilla whenever it releases, and bring it with me to the 1970s/1980s. It's obviously not as graphically impressive as Crysis, but this game has more realistic and detailed building destruction from what I can see. -Go into the past and show everyone how to think with portals, and explain why the cake is a lie. (If there is ONE recent game that you can call innovative, Portal is it.) -Go into the past, pay a visit to the developers of Spacewar, show them a laptop with Star Control II installed so that they can see just how far technology and games will come as years pass by, and tell them that most games after that don't really compare in regards other than graphics, sadly.

Well the problem is that If I were to bring for instance "Elder Scrolls : Oblivion" back to 1982 to show them then it would be for nothing as they would all sit there with computer very much below the minimum requirements.

So fun to be a smart ass at times.

i don't think i'd bother taking anything back, i wouldn't want to mess up the space time continum or anything like that, infact i implore none of you to go back in time, i quite like how games have developed over the years.

Okay.....

Back to the HYPOTHETICAL question.

Psychonauts or Indigo Prophecy.

But those are on Xbox Originals.

So I don't know. Haha.

I'd probably go back to the Pre-Nintendo 64 era and warn everyone about Superman 64.

I'd go back to the early nineties to show Tipper Gore, and Hilary Clinton grand theft auto 4 and manhunt 2 and say, "No matter what you do you can't stop the freedom of expression!"

I would bring them Phantasy Star Online. And I would walk up to the president of sega and say "Keep making these. Just keep upgrading the graphics and adding a little more content each time. Because in the future, this is STILL the best game ever made."
