I'm a game reviewer!

Hey everyone, I'm freakin excited. I'm now a reviewer for AceGamez.com!

I took my Brave Fencer Musashi review and reworked it from the ground up. I sent it to a few places and BAM! Here I am. It's actually not a paying job right now, but I do get to keep the games and sell them if I'd like. You got to start somewhere right?

The place has needed help for a while, so they missed some games here and there. I happened to see lonely Skies of Arcadia was not reviewed for the Game Cube. I am here to fix this travesty, hard at work on finishing the game (again lol).

What do you guys think?

so thats a start. keeping the copies and when you have fun by writing the reviews, whioch you probably have. then its great.

Hi Good job on the job LOL!!! Hey I was wondering. It seems as though game reviews can be a lot of work. I would think you would have to be pretty skillful to play the various games. For example what if the games controls are difficult or the game is buggy and crashes your computer? What if you really hate the game? Do you try to finish it and give a review? Playing games and reviewing them sounds like fun and it can be but what about the down side? :|sihunt

Actually, reviewing a horrible game is just as satisfying as reviewing a good one. The writing part at least. I don't mind trudging through aweful games. I'm pretty good at most games, accept maybe the RTS genre. I like writing reviews mainly to get people intrested in games that they normally would not think of playing. Lots of times people are reluctant to try something new, and that's why the crap sells while more and more the gems get left behind.

Idk, I'm also going to start my career working on games soon (as an animator). This writing is just a side thing, but really I can't choose between the two. Sometimes being a reviewer seems like a pointless job, but then again it is much less stressful than actually working on them. Also game journalism is an extremely small industry and hard to break into so that's the downfall.

I guess I'll just have to see where this takes me. Ideally I want to do both.
