Music like this had to be made stronger, with more emotions. Music back then had to speak where the characters couldn't emote. The PSX's limited graphic capabilities couldn't portray emotions as effectively in a game like FFIX, so the music had to talk to the player. A song where the main character's will tested to the limits; his very ideals before him shattered. Even though he had found his race of people, he never felt more alone, until he's reminded of all those fighting with him.
