Improve games now, or better graphics?

I was thinking with new console announcements coming (maybe), what would you rather have on next gen consoles? Better graphics or huge improvements on problems with current gen. games? For instance better draw, faster loading/no loading times, and better framerates?

For me, I'd rather have the improvements. Take New Vegas for example. I'd rather have the same graphics but with no loading rather than something that looked like it was running on a god tier pc with 15-20 second loading times every time you turn around.

Improvements defiantly. Graphics are beyond acceptable now I think.

The one thing that would make me froth at the mouth with joy on next-gen consoles would be anti-aliasing. I love Xbox 360 and PS3 but the jagged lines have bothered me since 3-d games existed lol. I would probably fully switch to consoles. Otherwise though I'm kind of hoping for a mixture of both. Maybe get console games on a tier just above The witcher 2's visuals, and yet keep load times and functionality in check.

Improve games and content. It's perfectly fine for me without graphic improvement. Great and memorable games last longer than just pretty graphic with average game improvement.

Better graphics. Then again, I primarily game on PC where, as long as your rig is powerful enough, you won't have any issues with draw distance, loading times, and framerates.

That just means they need to use compression to reduce content size. You don't want to load gigs of data into memory because it will be slow. You load smaller and then decompress.

Actually the problem is that the consoles have a pitiful amount of RAM which is why you get low resolution textures, small areas, and lots of loading screens on consoles. It's actually amazing that devs can do what they do now on consoles considering the X360 has a mere 512MB of shared system and VRAM (one and the same for the X360) and the PS3 has 256MB of system RAM and 256MB of VRAM (so essentially the same 512MB of the X360). So the next generation should definitely alleviate those problems for awhile since the amount of RAM is guaranteed to see a huge boost as always, although it will probably be short-lived since for some reason console makers never put in a decent amount of RAM to begin with.

I'd rather them improve the game itself over the graphics. A good looking game is completely useless if it totally sucks.

They should improve both aspects imo. better graphics and better game play. This is the next-generation of console gaming, why should they not ?

but if I had to chose, I think I would go with stability improvements. I mean current graphics are damn sweet

Good graphics don't make a game great. I rather have improved games.
