I hope for both. I do not believe the myths that indie games are the sole source of innovation and the others that follow that ideal.

More and more developers that have had some 'mainstream' publishing are starting to self publish nowadays.

So the former will only grow, while the latter will continue to shrink. The mainstream market/titles will always exist.

I personally prefer indie games, they're giving better and more varied experiences. That and there's very little AAA games that arent a Q4 holiday season release or is hit by delays.
