Never had much use for the booklets, the game usually tells you the story. And everything else is pretty easy to learn on your own. Although there are some game that are the exception(X3,Wizardry 8,NWN)and of course games that come with cool extras, like art and stuff in the booklet.

Yeah, booklets aren't really needed much, if at any. That is of course with a few exceptions such as mentioned prior to this post. NWN being one of the more popular ones of really needing the booklet.

But almost everything that is in the booklet, can be found in the game, or found through common sense. The book is going to tell you how to get a game started. How hard is that to figure out? Then it's going to give you the controller configuration, which can always be found in game, usually by pausing and going to the menu or just messing around with the buttons and figuring it out yourself. And then in some situations it's going to explain what and where your health bar is and things of that nature. All pretty standard stuff.

Also, if you do feel that you are in need of the booklet, and it didn't come with your game. Search online, you can almost always find a copy of the booklet online and just print it out or read it off the screen. I've had to do that in a few instances.

I hate it when I get a game without the manual. I also hate it when I get a manual in a different language...I had a hard time understanding the subsystems in KOF XI.
