$30 for a SNES that has all the cables and tv hook ups is a good deal if the system isn't yellowed and the pins look good. Just make sure you have them hook it up to show you it works well. Then immediatly get 3 or 4 good games for it as well, if the answer is yes. :P
yes the snes is worth 30 i only paid that much for mine as long as it is in good condition /working condition plays the games turns on like a charm and has hookups
Totally worth $30. So many great games for it. And such a reliable system.

Your absolutley right about it being reliable. My SNES which I have owned since it came out back in 1991 still works godo with no issues.

Worth a lot more in my opinion...but that's just for collection's sake. If you buying it to seriously drive into 16 bit gaming, you're better off getting a Retro Duo. It plays SNES and NES games. It's around the same price range and you get more for your dollar. Plus, it can be bought brand new...you can never trust the longevity of a used legacy console.Shop near my house sells one for that price reason I ask is because I think I got ripped off on my NES

Well, the going rate for a 2600 is between $24 used (the lowest) and $400 new (the highest) which is fair priced imo since its an antique. I mean, you can't use a NES AC adaptor for it by any conventional means but they do work in the same manner.
Here's one for sell on amazon:

Pfft I dropped $50 on an SNES with AV cables, a controller, and Donkey Kong Country to get my fix on.
