Is anyone Hyped about Crysis 3?

Many are whining about some superfluous fact that that second games had more linear levels.

I like all the Crysis games and I'm buying Crysis 3. But, I'm not interested in hype.

I'll wait for reviews I want to see if they have done a good job on PC and not a sloppy port over.

I'm interested in it, but with other games coming out (mainly Bioshock Infinite) I'll likely hold off for a price drop. 1 and 2 were fun, but at the end of the day I'd rather have a compelling story to go with my game (actually, a story at all would be nice, as Crysis 2 kind of jumped right into it without any real bridge from 1 to 2 and for some reason they decided to not let your character talk in the 2nd game even though the first game has a talking character, which may seem like a minor issue, but it kills the immersion whem people talk to you, ask you a question, and basically answer their own question).

I watched some gameplay vids but I couldn't get myself excited for this game. May get it when it hits bargain bin, though.

I like shooters such as Halo but I have never played a Crysis game and as Crysis 3 has the best graphics and looks beautiful, is anyone that hyped about it? Yeah I'm kind of hyped for Crysis 3. I haven't played the first game but I played the 2nd game on the 360 and enjoyed both the single player and multiplayer a lot.Archangel3371

If you get a chance, play the first one. The XBLA version is $20, and miles better than Crysis 2 (and I played Crysis 2 first and liked it alot). So much better, in fact, I was blown away. An amazing shooter.

Crysis games are so hyped for their graphics gameplay seems to get lost,but the suit powers are cool.Apart from that though they are pretty standard shooters.

:lol: Probably true, although Crysis 2 was much better optimized than Crysis was.

But to be clear, I don't have a good gaming PC at all -- which sucks ecause I know how killer this game will be on that platform. I'm sure it will be pretty and playable on consoles, too.... I'm just hoping for a more solid Framerate than C2 had.

i bought the first 2 and they weren't that fun, i got bored with the first one pretty quick. Pretty games aren't always the most enjoyable.

That's pretty much how I felt when I played Crysis 1. Felt like another run of the mill shooter with a suit function that really did nothing. It's the reason why I never bothered with part two. I do however, want to play 1 and 2 to the end one of these days just so I can experience this "alien invasion", which I am certaintly a fan of since seeing Indepedence Day back when.

Just like in Crysis 2 they are looking to rape what Crysis was, a wonderful open world shooter, and turn it into COD so no I am not hyped. For all I know it may be a decent game but it will be a terrible Crysis game.

I'll def. buy Crysis 3. I've played all the Crysis games and never understood all this crying about Crysis 2. One thing I didn't like about Crysis 2

was the lack of a quick save option and, concomitantly, the poor placing of check points.

Crysis was never my cup of tea, so I'm not excited for 3. I do plan on giving it a rental though.

Crysis 1 was open ended, is this something that is "standard" too? And its AI was very very very good. And the suit powers are an integral part of its gameplay, and if you're playing properly you should be using them in most encounters. They're not just gimmicks that can be ignored.

From an objective standpoint, Crysis 1 was easily one of the 2 or 3 best single player FPS gameplay-wise when it came out. Even today, it's still very high on the list.

I'm pretty hyped.

I'm currently playing Crysis 2 for the first time, and I'm loving every minute of it. From what I've seen, the third looks a lot better, as most of us expected it would. Move over Crysis 2, there's a new Graphics King in town. :P

Second that, man. I didn't like Crysis 2 at all for it was nohting more than COD 4/Halo Reach clone. If those things were in Crysis 2, it'll be in Crysis 3 as well.
