Is anyone thinking that the new spider-man game is worse than old spider-man games on PS2 & PS3 ?

I remember ultimate spider-man and spider-man web of shadows and spider-man 2 & 3 were much better

Anyone agree with me ?

The only thing that appears to be worse is the movement being dumb down/simplified. All the rest looks like it was a huge improvement.

Um, it cannot be worse, because old spider-man games, minus one or two, were god awful.

It's not even out yet...

It is quite sad that Spider-Man 2 was the pinnacle for so long. I mean, it’s a great game but DAMMIT, it’s about time that another Spider-Man game tops it and Marvel's Spider-Man game, I been following the game since day one announce, this is by far the best looking Spider-Man game I have seen in a very long time because this is a AAA build.

I am glad there is someone around here remembers Spider-Man 2 tied-movie game. I used to play it just to swing around everywhere. It was fun on Xbox. Spider-Man 2 was definitely ahead of it's time, but it's impossible to not see the difference 14 years made. It's amazing how far we've come. The swinging in Spider-Man 2 game seems like it measures up to the new release pretty well judging from the videos I seen.

I'm going to rent this new one though since my roommate is into Marvel. Seems like a good rental title.

Only Spider Man game I've played is a very old Beat em' Up. Admittedly I'm not a big fan of super heroes in general. Yet main reason many are excited this time around is super hero games are high-in-large terrible, rushed cash-grabs by developers not known for making quality gaming experiences. And the list provided in the OP isn't praise worthy. Exception I read from many being the recent Batman trilogy.

May try the new one down the line, just because I've never played a bad Insomniac game, they're a very talented developer. And it'll be interesting to see how much Ratchet, Resistance or Sunset is in the Spiderman game.

i shall let you know soon. my copy's on it's way and should land tomorrow. i decided to give sunset another whirl recently, it's a fun game, shame it didn't get more recognition
