Is Crisis Core's story THAT good?

First of all I've never played FFVII, at least not yet...

Does Crisis Core's story compare to the other 3D Final Fantasy's and/or any other console RPG (name them please)? Just to set a recent reference, how would you compare the story based on something like Lost Odyssey? Please explain your answers a little, thanks...

I have the game now, and i've watch all the cutscenes on youtube w/ eng sub(It's 140 minutes long). Crisis core have an beautiful story, it's emotionally gripping, sometimes it will touched your emotion, makes you happy, or sad. The story will also show you how cloud becomes a man(well sort of). The story is mainly about bond, friendship, pride. genesis is the villain in the game, but he isn't evil, he just have that I do i want attitude. IMO, Story is much better than lost odyssey. The story gets to the main point, Crisis core can rival mainstream final fantasy game(story-wise). It's the best jrpg for Q1 2008
