FFXII has a lot of similarities to KOTOR, but as a series Final Fantasy is a very different kind of RPG. But like I said, FFXII is more similar to KOTOR than anything else. The battle system especially.
Although they're both RPGs and I like them both a lot, they're structured very differently and FF games don't give you the option to alter the outcome of the story. The battle system in FFXII is similar to that of KOTOR however.
