I have just been pondering this for a second and i want to know peoples opionions on games pushing forward movies that could'nt have a sequal made due to restictions due to things like cast,

What i am saying is i really like the idea of renewing old francises like what ghostbusters is doing, we could never really see a sequal to ghost busters 1 and 2 but lets be honest who would want one, but with games the charecters are done digitilly and have no real restricions on cast crew (apart from voice acting).

if done right with writers from the origional films why could we not see old classics made in brilliant video games.

i really think this is the way forward for films that were brilliant in there day but do not really warrent a sequal 20 years later

second part of my qestion which films would you like to be made into a game and why?

1. beverly hills cop, it has the world made for this they just have to design it and the theme tags along with most open world games anyways u would just play the cop instead of the criminal

please discuss and dont be too harsh lol this was my first post in along time

I never thought of that, before. If done correctly, that could be a good idea. How about Blankman lol.

Eddie murphy is still in his 40's, so I think he could easily do another beverly hills cop movie if they wanted him to. I think another GTA clone would be lame.

Theyre actually already doing this with ghostbusters. The entire original cast is on board and this game will act as a sequel to the movies, the only kind of sequel these movies will see anymore unfortunatly.

yeah i am so glad about ghostbuster i dont think i would like to see a sequal as a film and much prefere it to be a game, also it gives gaming the opertunity to become more mainstream as people who like films will move over and accept this kind of media.

we see games being made into movies so much these days that i wish companys would flip things up abit and make more games based on films but with there own seperate story and not just a movie game that is rushed to be released at the same time as the film

Video games are a great way to revive old movie franchises that can't reprise the original cast like Ghostbusters (as mentioned above). Dan Aykroyd said in a interview that the Ghostbusters game is essentially Ghostbusters 3.

Also, movie franchises that died (or are dying) like Aliens can also work, like that new Alien game made by Sega and Gearbox.
