Unless you're working within the Batman universe?
entropyecho
I think great super hero games have been made over the years. I absolutely loved Ultimate Spider-Man on PS2. I loved X-Men Legends 1 and 2 as well. I still think Spider-Man on the N64/PSOne are amazing as well.
inFamous is fantastic. Not a comic book superhero or anything, but it's still a superhero game. And it's great.

Yea Spiderman games have been killing it since the ps1,64 days. Only on this generation of consoles have the reactions been mixed.
I also rememeber loving all the xmen games on the SNES/SEGA days. Xmen2 wovlerine game on the ps2 was great. Marvel unltimate alliance games were great. Hulk Ulitmate destruction was an absolute beast of a game. Superman returns wasnt bad. Spiderman 3, Web of shadows & Shattered Dimmensions were all good too.
Spiderman 2, Hulk Ultimate Destruction, Batman AA. 3 best superhero games ever. It was widely regarded Spiderman 2 was the best superhero game of all time . . . . . . until Batman AA was released
There have been a ton of great superhero games. Entropyecho must have been living in the sewers while all the wicked superhero games were being made.
I seriously want to see Rocksteady do an open world Spiderman game using the AA engine. That would be freakin' AMAZING. Aside though, there have been good superhero games, just not up to the caliber of Batman. There was a decent Hulk game a while back, a few of the Spidermans were good, and lest I forget Superman 64. The pinnacle of superhero games, even Batman can't touch it.
Spiderman 2.BranKetra
This. Spiderman 2 was a terrific game. The swinging in that game was damn near perfect
This is what happens when one great game gets too much hype. It makes you blind to everyone else's achievements. Oh, and how many horrilbe Batman games came before Arkham Asylum?
Well there's Batman but I didn't play it yet.
Infamous rocked.
City of Heroes/Villains is a mmorpg built around superheroes (and villains.)

Superman 64 for is underrated.
Metamania
I am honestly not sure how anyone found Superman 64 to be...underrated. It's not a fun game. Complete garbage.
I was being sarcastic. Don't worry.Infamous is obviously the best this gen but unfortunately for 360 owners like myself, it's only on ps3. I wish someone would make a great freeroam superhero game for the 360. Prototype was simply awful.
The new Batman game should be great do out on the 18th..Lookin forward to playin as batman again..They have the catwoman, more villains, robin makes a cameo, Nightwing think does also..One of the games that will hold me over till 11 11 11..We all know what that date is hehe..
Some one should make a worthy superman game..The last game couldve been great but they failed miserably..The flying andevery thing was fun the city was good..Every thing else was meh...What does it take to do this game right..
Spiderman they gave such a poor rating to..SIlicon knights failed on xmen..Picked it up figured it might be decent omfg that games horrible..Reminds me of a playstation game..They should just give up as a whole or have a new ceo for that company..
Ultimate alliance 1 and 2 where fun..The last game was good but just to damn short..Hate when companies do 10 hours games..Work hard for my 60 bucks id like at least 40 to 50 hours of game-play out of a game..
