I hardly ever see anyone mention the PC and last few threads I created about it have received no replies
What is up with that?

I have own an NES, Saturn, PS1, PS2, Dreamcast, 360, master system, Gameboy, Gameboy Color, GBA and the PSP2 big reasons. the price of a pc compared to consoles. the games arent as good as the consoles
bigM10231
And the PC has always been my favourite gaming system
saying the games aren't as good is both debatable and your personal opinion.
Even this gen the PC has already received more high rated exclusives then any console this gen
So? If I can create a thread about tne NES or the SNES why can't I create one about the PC?there is a pc discussion thread

The big reason that most people ignore PC gaming threads in the "Legacy" forum is because in a lot of cases you get all kinds of "System wars" bs and everyone wants to transform any thread about anything into some big s***storm argument.
Arguably old PC games can be in the Legacy forum because the old OS that supported them is no more.

agreed. the legacy platfrom does NOT include PC. legacy means old consoles (xbox, nes, snes, n64, ps1, etc etc etc).
[QUOTE="bigM10231"]So? If I can create a thread about tne NES or the SNES why can't I create one about the PC? There's not just a single thread for discussing PC games... actually, there's an entire forum for discussing PC games.there is a pc discussion thread

Legacy Platforms also includes legacy OS's. I doubt anybody thinks a Pentium II with Win 98 is anything but retro. However, most people take the stance that PC is PC and wont discuss it here in this forum. I see no reason not to though. Games like Doom, Heretic, Starcraft, Dungeon Keeper (my personal fav.), and god knows what else are all most definately old school. There is just no clear cut line between legacy consoles, and legacy OS's, so people debate about it a lot.
I will mention, however, that this is the Legacy "Platform" forum, and not the Legacy "Consoles" forum. That is just my 2 cents...

This... Even though I've seen several PC discussions here in legacy forums.

Because the PC isn't a legacy platform, its still going.

yes.... to discuss current PC games, not old MS-DOS games
Because the PC isn't a legacy platform, its still going.
ColdP1zza
That's like saying the PS1 is still going because they still make PS3 games
I like pc, a lot. Just can't run recent games. Daavpukea common problem for a lot of people, the problem is that most people don't know what are the best cards you can get for a decent price.
I have the best card an AGP slot can take basically. Yes, AGP.Daavpuke
You'll have to switch your motherboard then... the last AGP card was made in.... what? 2006?
I think there are a few motherboard around that support both AGP and PCI Express, maybe you could look into that

It's not really though, is it? The PS1 and PS3 are two different systems.
And we frequently discuss old games in the PC & Mac Games forum. It's not exclusive to new games at all.

Might as well save up for a new PC if I did that.[QUOTE="ohthemanatee"]
