I was going to order a couple of PC games from Amazon.com. However, I was wondering if they are easy and nice to deal with, or have any of you had any trouble ordering from that site?
Orderig directly from Amazon is ok, but you'll notice that you can order from other 3rd party companies when you click on the "New & Used" link under "Other Choices." Those dealers are usually ok and they also have a rating associated with their company so you can decide wether or not to trust them based on that.
bought a $2900 tv off there for $2000. lots of other books for school and random electronics also. great prices. just make sure you check up on the supplier.
I am very uneasy about shopping online, but I absolutely love Amazon. I've ordered numerous things from them and it comes very fast and they pack the stuff in a way that it's damn near impossible to damage it during shipping. Plus they have Free Shipping for alot of their items if you don't mind waiting a little longer. God, I sound like an advertisement, but I love their site.
PS - I am only praising the stuff sold directly from Amazon, not the sellers that post their items through Amazon. So I can't really tell you much about individual sellers or their service.
It's pretty safe, I ordered some time ago, both games and books, and they arrived with no problem whatsoever. And it's special in my case because I'm in Argentina and it's a loong way over here, but it it was all perfect and as I was hoping it'd be.
Amazon is so safe I have their credit card and signed up for their Tivo service! I am also an Amazon Prime member (free 2 day shipping or 3.99 overnight on "Prime" items).
Amazon is excellent, not only for books and software but hardware as well. They were the cheapest place to hold the Z5500 speakers and there was free delivery as well.
Amazon's great, not only do they have free shipping but they do frequent discounts (including the T5064 Samsung plasma I ordered and their entire HD DVD selection). For an alternative, check out buy.com as well.
Continuing on the love train, Amazon is pretty darn secure. I've had zero problems with shipping. Third party suppliers from Amazon are slightly riskier, but Amazon wouldn't keep them if they weren't reliable. I've ordered stuff to be delivered out of state. I've ordered stuff out of country. No problems with Amazon when I lived in Korea. If you're planning to get a game online, you can't do much better than Amazon.
