Seems to me that the last installment of NFS really didn't do it. Is Pro Street the beginning of the end of NFS?

The last NFS that I really got into was Underground 2. All the ones since then have been pretty bad imo.

NFS: Underground 2 and NFS: Carbon are the latest i've been playing. The original, NFS2: SE and NFS: Hot Pursuit are the best in the series.

NFS2 and Hot Pursuit are great games.

Anyway the quality of NFS has been deteriorating for years now and not just on the PC.

Oh I don't know. I haven't played the most recent, but I thought Most Wanted was really fantastic. It all really depends on whether or not you're down with the whole "street racing" thing they're going with now, or if you prefer supercar sim racing, which is what the series used to be about.
