They are the best. They're in a rut in the moment with wiiu and a few other aspects, but they are one of the few that continuously puts out rock solid games. It's unbelievable what passes quality control--the amount of bugs, etc.
Nintendo first party franchises justify a purchase of their consoles every generation. Â To me, it's the best. Â I could go without buying the competition (despite losing out on some great 3rd party content). Â If I could only buy one console, it would be a Nintendo.
I've always been a Sega/Sony person, but I can't deny Nintendo's awesomeness with their handhelds. Some of my all-time favorites were on the GBC and GBA. I think they also made the right choice with having some more mature titles on the GameCube like REmake and Eternal Darkness... They certainly got me to buy one.
If I had to chose one company to get games from it'd be Nintendo. No other developer or even publisher outputs better content at a faster rate than they do.
Imo, no, but they are still one of the best out there. The Mario and Zelda titles alone make it better than the majority of companies out there. I am going to show my true colors however and say Sega is way better though.
yeah almost anything except microsoft is better than nintendo, back in the day sega, ea(can be argued) and capcom were better, now pretty much everything is better. nintendo has gone downhil fast since the end of the 2d era(snes)
Not remotely. Nintendo has its strengths, but they aren't what they used to be. Nintendo really knows what they're doing with their handhelds, and that's what I go to Nintendo for mostly these days.
If we're talking prior to the PS2/Xbox, then of course Nintendo ruled the world.
Nintendo games are too main streamed, and too propitiatory. And 3rd parties still don't want to make games for them, even after they tried to cater to them. They're basically, Apple of the console world.

Sony and Microsoft do not develop their own games, they just own multiple developers that create first party games. Nintendo does everything mostly by themselves(Retro Studios and Gamefreak come to mind as some devs they own.) Does any one developer still produce as many good games as Nintendo?

He also didn't program the XBox.
The X-Box still lines his pockets, so NO.Why would you care about if he gets money off of it? It's not like that decreases the games quality on PC/XBOX.

I mean, I think Sony makes the best consoles, but they've never developed or published a game that even comes close to Nintendo's masterpieces. Even tho Sega fvcked themselves over over the years, I think they are far more comparable to Nintendo.
I voted yes even though I don't really think they are better than everything combine. They have made great games that anyone can play since I was a child and it seems to me there's no sign of them stopping. They have had ups and downs and managed to hang in there making only video games the whole time. There is something about them that seems permenant when I always feel like Sony or MS might pull the plug--probably seeing Nintendo through rose colored glasses a bit but that's how I feel.
