I dont buy lots of used games, still this is a deal breaker to me.

DRM takes away my ownership. In 10-15 years, Microsoft will probably stop supporting this system, and my Xbox One, along with every game for it will probably turn in to a brick.

Also, what happens when a game is fresh out of brand new copies?

1. Buy the game used and activate it for FULL PRICE at Xbox Live?

2. Download the game from Xbox Live for FULL PRICE?

And yeah, Microsoft and Steam probably have VERY different game prices.

What if I want to take my Xbox with me in the army? I cant.. It requires a 24 hour activation...

Oh myyyyy goooood...............................

Yes, as friends and I at work are constantly loaning games to one another. This would end that. If I wanted to pay full price, I wouldn't ask to borrow my pal's copy.

Yes, at least initially. With that in place, I'll wait two years or more to purchase the system so the prices of both the hardware and software will be lower.

Yes, although I buy many games new there are times where I buy a game I missed used, as finding it new is either impossible or ridiculously costly.

No. I always prefer to purchase my games new no matter what the price difference might be. I also don't sell, borrow, lend, trade, or rent my games either so those aren't issues for me. I have purchased used in the past as a last resort for games I could no longer find new but the last time I had to do that was back in the previous gen. Nowadays I haven't really had any difficulty finding games and for games I knew would have limited numbers I purchase very early after release. If I ever can't find a game from now going forward I'll just get the digital version anyway.

I will not support a system that tries to hinder used games, and I will not buy any digital content with any DRM whatsoever.

If I were even interested in it in the first place, it would definitely be a deal breaker. I could probably even get past the periodic Internet connection requirement, though that in and of itself is ridiculous too.

If games stay at $60, yes. The fact is that this just plain lowers the value of games. Realistically I might be willing to put up with this if the price of games went down A LOT, but otherwise it's just not worth it to me any more.

I'll be frank: I don't buy used.  Never have, and never will.  So it doesn't affect me, but I still heavily oppose it, to the extent that I will not support any platform that implements such restrictions.  More so, I won't buy ONE because it has a 24 hour "check in" BS.  I wouldn't support it anyway, but that is the nail in the coffin.

No used games is a deal breaker for me because it shortens the longevity of the console. As it is with all of my other consoles. The games I have will continue to work as long as I can get a hold of the hardware that runs those games.

I very rarely buy games used.  This is still a total deal breaker for me.  It's not just used games this hurts.  It hurts anyone who has ever borrowed, loaned, or rented a video game.  You pay full price blindly or you don't play at all.  Best case scenario maybe you get a carefully crafted video or playable demo that was designed with the sole purpose of convincing you to pay up.

It's not that I loan, borrow, or rent games all that often either (I do however trade-in games often).  The biggest reason is unlike the PC and Steam, consoles are a closed off medium where everything is dictated by a single controlling entity with no oversight or restrictions what so ever.  If you don't like it, the only recourse you have is to stop using it and be down at least several hundreds of dollars for buying the hardware alone.  Not to mention any games you may have bought (either physical or digital) in the process.

Oh yeah but I just prefer to put my money directly into the hands of those directly responsible for the game I'm buying. I greatly prefer the physical version but only new. Digital would be my last resort which thankfully isn't an option I've had to use, yet.

Yes because it essentially makes my games worthless in the resale market. People not being able to resale or trade in games = People not buying nearly as many used games as they once did. People not buying as many games = More newly released games tanking. More newly released games tanking = more studios closures.

Honestly? No.

I've never once bought a used copy of a game. All the games I own are new copies, even the bad ones. I just wait for price drops in certain games and then go after them; only time I ever bought a game close to launch was with Portal 2.

Depends on how good the games are. Right now setting my eyes and money on PS4... but if Microsoft WTF wows us at E3 with their exclusives... I'm... going to have a bitch fit, because I really don't want to get a Xbone right now. :/

It's probably because they already know the answer. This always-on stuff basically confirms the system would become a paperweight once the system's met its end.

This needs typing in caps OF COURSE! The whole point of blocking used games is to make money. We all know the value of things drop with time so they can't make money everytime a copy is sold. And license is for merchants and those who buy and sell things regularly and in huge amounts like in store. To run a business, one needs the required documents and amount of capital to be registered as business man. What applies to second hand business men and authorized/none authorized distributors does not apply or shouldn't I should say, apply to individuals.

Don't care about used games.  $100+ for a Kinect I don't want is a deal breaker.  Rather spend my money on 50% more GPU cores.

Yes it's a deal breaker. If the game is worth full price I buy it day 1. If i'm curious about it then I'll wait and buy it used. I won't be buying xbox one. Everything about it is terrible. They pretty much just made the first anti gamer, gaming machine.

Even though I buy most of my games new, this still affects you greatly since your games essentially become worthless once use them. And even if Microsoft tries something like implemeting and internal trade system that has to go through them I still will never buy this console no matter what.

MS is trying to take over your freedom to Buy/Sell and I will not allow that. Not to mention all this other BS like Kinect and XBL still costing money on top of all the new services you will have to pay for. No Thank You.

But just think! You could use it as a car jack. Or a step to exercise with. Or take the massive fan out of it (which by the way is half the size of the box) and use it to cool yourself in the summer. Or use it as a fancy door stop.
