Well I upgraded my PC and it cost 450, that's when the PS3 was 600, now it's 400, but hey, the cheapest way to go is just upgrade your PC, cuz most games are 50 bucks or less, and it's got alot of multiplatform games on there, but getting a system for exclusive games, your basically ripping yourself off. PS3 has Blu-ray, so you can watch movies at 1080p and play games at that resolution, but honestly, I see no difference in Blu-Ray then just regular "HD" (my HDTV has no blu-ray player and I'd say it actually looks a little better.)
Yes the PS3 is worth it I'd say, but ya know what, consoles are supposed to be cheap.
