I for one have had to cut back a ton on how many games I get, and have instead purchased many more small downloadable games and have been playing a lot of my back catalog on my 60 gig ps3. Anyone else had a major impact by the economy?

Same here, thats what Im starting to do is wait for more price cutsI started using Gamefly to save money since I was buying a lot of games. Also, if I know I'm going to buy a game, I'll usually wait for it to hit a price cut before I buy it too.

No I have gotten more games than ever this year but as of late I have no more money for games so I had to trade a couple away to get a new onebut come next month I'll start right were I left off buying as many rpgs as possible
Yes, I used to preorder like crazy and buy anything I found for a decent price...now...not so much. It's sad, really...
not much, I just choose my games more wisely and carefully now then before.I for one have had to cut back a ton on how many games I get, and have instead purchased many more small downloadable games and have been playing a lot of my back catalog on my 60 gig ps3. Goodness, no. In fact, I am presently so flush with rhino that I've decided to thumb my nose at the current economic situation and upgrade my gaming experience to something Louis XIV might have enjoyed. My consoles are plated with gold and studded with precious stones, and my controllers are carved from delicate crystal. I game from a gilded throne, my chambers lit by the gentle radiance spilling from the chandeliers tinkling overhead. The rattle of gunfire and the screams of dying aliens are accompanied by the whisper-soft offerings of the orchestra concealed behind the balcony out back. When a new game comes in the post it is brought to me by a uniformed retainer on a cushion of golden thread.
Oh, and my USB cables are made of plaited unicorn hair, which I'm told has made these magnificent creatures extinct once and for all. Still, all in a good cause.
I only buy games at full price if I know I'll be playing them months after purchase. I know which ones to get through intense research and knowing what I like and what I look for in games.
If they are older games, I do intense eBay/Amazon searching and don't pounce until I get a price I want.
Using that method, I managed to find a copy of Arkham Asylum for $48 shipped like new. Still playing the challenges like crazy. I also got the Baldur's Gate Collection for $22.
