If it were that good, you'd think it'd have some kind of playerbase to speak of...THE GAME IS AMAZING, BUY IT RIGHT NOW, DON'T ****ING WAIT.

Pity that there are those unable to appreciate Alpha 2, 3rd Strike, or Super IV."Is... Street Fighter... any good"?
Not since 2.

There's a small one over at SRK.
The EX games are pretty much underappreciated, although I was only really a fan of the first game.
It's a sub-par 3D fighter. If You're not big into fighting games, then chances are, you'll like it.

Same here. The first one was great at the time and I really enjoyed the Expert mode, which I felt was the seed into what we see in the latest SF games now, the Challenge/Trial modes.
Plus, I thought the soundtrack was fantastic for SFEX Plus Alpha. Still is to this day, actually...

SuperIV sucks. That is all there is to it. SF is not beyond redemption but three things need to happen;
1.) No more clone characters
2.) Come up with some new fighting styles ( There are many to pick from )
3.) Tone down the Hadokens. A random spammer takes all the fun out of the online mode.

I fail to see how Super IV sucks when it has done a lot for the fighting genre recently. It has lit a fire under its a** and has inspired a few developers to reach a possible, higher standard with their own franchises. It has also gotten players, both casual and avid fighting gamers alike, to be more interested in them than it was before.
1. Clone fighters are unavoidable and without them, it just wouldn't be Street Fighter, now would it?
2. I thought they already accomplished this with Hakan and Juri and that still isn't enough for you?
3. Hadokens is part of a anusatsuken's player's strategy. It cannot be avoided, no matter how often you wish it.

1. What clone characters are you referring to in SSFIV?
2. They've added tons of new characters and styles, including a wrestler who lubes up before his fight, a Tae Kwon Do expert, and various other styles not seen before in the franchise.
3. Random spammers should be converted into mincemeat by even an average SSFIV player.
Seriously, have you even played the game?
I don't know why this game gets so much hate it wasn't bad at all. It had alot more unique characters than any other Street Fighter. That's really just a matter of opinion.D3dr0_0

That's really just a matter of opinion. Most of the characters didn't seem like clone characters like Ken, Dan, Akuma, Gouken and Sean.[QUOTE="Crazy_Legs87"]That's really just a matter of opinion. If you were to gather up the amount of shoto clones, they still be outnumbered by the other characters that debut in Alpha and SFIII.They too were unique characters.
