lol, no. Thinking it's racist is reading deeply into something that isn't there. So I'm to believe because Adam isn't in SoR2 and SoR3 that means it's racist? Following this logic, if they put Adam in two because he was "iconic," then you'd be calling the series sexist if Blaze was the one kidnapped. Why not put him in 3 then? Well you already have a new memorable and unqie character in Skate, so why replace him for a character that's just going to be similar to Axel? As for Skate being gimped, you can just as well say the same thing about Axel and Blaze since the gameplay in 3 is slower and harder than in 2. I think it'd be easier to call out other series like Final Fight and Double Dragon for not having a character like Adam or Skate, period.

No, Adam was the default character. They choose to replace Adam with a short kid with chains and his hat on backwars, and in the 3rd game he's gimped more then the other 2. There's clealry something wrong there. The kidnapping thing was already strange but in 3 he's "busy?" doing what? There's no deep thinking here, the above is clearly noticeable.[QUOTE="Renegade_Fury"][QUOTE="Containmomentum"] This just sounds like denial with no backup explanation. still a good game series just think it's racist.Containmomentum

Ok then, but you're the only one seeing this "clearly" notciable issue that no one called out or cared about 20 years ago .
Nah, it's not racist; and I won't bother trying to back up my statement since it's so obvious to begin with. Funny how some people go so far out of their way to call games racist, sexist, or some other word with the suffix "ist."
I never got the impression that it was racist, but then again I haven't playd any Streets of Rage games since I was probably in middle school.
The scenario of a black person being captured is no different to the scenario of a white person being captured.
I might as well call you racist.
TC are you serious?
I mean really serious?
If you are then you sound like a moron.
In the first game Axel and Adam are too similar to each other, so for the 2nd game they took one out and replaced him with a charecter that was different from the others. As for the 3rd game why put that same character back in that would, yet again, be similar to one that is already there?
How is that racist? Just because the one they took out was the black guy?
Looks like you're grasping at straws on this one.

I am not ignoring anything, you denying that in this particular circumstance none of your examples fit. If Blase was kidnapped it would turn the series into double dragon. Which would make the series suck. Also, even ignoring that, she would have still have been in the 3rdgame. Skate by the time 3 was out was just as memorable as Adam because both had one game, and the professor/dr guy should be the one "Busy" not adam, it doesn't make any logical sense. Similar to Axel? Adam was default, and if they could add a whle new character in each game with different moves what's stopping them from changing and diffracting Axel and Adams attacks? Especially since the moves change a bit for Axel every game any way? Skate had his most efective and well balanced moves gimped to the weakest character in the game, while the others may have been slower, they got more new moves as well, and the professor had more, and more powerfulmoves then him by default. I t's clear nothing you said actually works when you think about it. The whole thing is adam is default, oops, Adam is kidnapped. Weird. Replaced by ghetto guy with chains with backwards cap making him arguably the best character in SOR2, most likely do illusion people into forgetting loosing Adam was bad, or at least the most balanced. 3, a scientist/dr guy joins while ADAM is the one "Busy" and not able to join and they make Skate the weakest character in the game. Also, how do you know no one called that out 20 years ago? I believe now at this point you're loosing it. You're speaking for everyone based on probably like 3 friends you had with yu playing the game. I know many people including strangers that alled that but I guess we do not exist, nope.So what stopped them from chainging adam and axel to be different when they added a new character? Heck, what stopped them fro just having four characters? Both make what you stated wrong. As for the 3rd game, they had 4 characters, and again, what was stopping them from chaging adam? Axel had new moves every game. So all you're doing is imaginingin your mind all 3 games are exactly the same. It's racist because they replaced Adam with a dude with chains and a baseball cap and overpowered him to make you guys not realize it, then make him the wekaest character in the 3rd game and add the doctor even though that itself, makes no sense at that point. There's no grasping. Again, not saying the game is bad. Just wrong in that one part.TC are you serious?

Maybe.I don't think so but it would have been nice if Adam was available with a cheat code.

The first game had 3 characters a woman and 2 guys. The 2 guys being very similar not only in moves but build.
The second game had 4 characters, they took out one of the guys from the first game and replaced him with 2 charecters that were very different from the others. A big, slow but powerful charecter and a small but fast charecter. They could of kept Adam in but there wasn't much they could of done to make him and Axel that different from each other. Because of their builds one could of been slightly stronger and the other slightly faster and they would of had some different moves but that's it.
What would you prefer having? 4 charecters where 2 of them are only slightly different from each other or having 4 charecters that are completely different?
As for how Skate looked, that is a '90 sterotype and so what if it is? There are a lot of games that use stereotypes and they won't stop any time soon.
The third game also had 4 charecters, with Dr. Zan replacing Max. By doing this it kept all 4 charecters very different from each other. Why didn't they put Adam back in? Maybe because of the same reason I stated above, there wasn't much they could of done to make him and Axel that different.
If you want to call that racist then go ahead.
