I don't hate it, although I didn't especially care for it. It did a pretty good job showcasing the strengths of the GameCube, but it had "launch title" written all over it.
Played it a while back, but I remember enjoying it. In fact, it's the only Mario game I've played and enjoyed in the past decade (other than a few of the spinoffs; Double Dash, Golf, and SSB come to mind).
Luigi's Mansion is the kiddie version of Resident Evil in my opinion. I liked it when it came out, but nothing like I liked Super Mario 64. Luigi's mansion is good for 2 to 3 weeks then after that the replay value is not too good. I will say its better then Sunshine though.
I used to site and have a laugh with it when it first got released for the GameCube. It doesn't have too much replay value in my opinion, but it was a nice game for some relaxing :)
Hate is a strong word - but Lugii's Mansion did not have much to like about it! Relatively boring the first time through, you could beat it in a day or two, and then it was over!
