They are entering the hardware business by selling PC's capable of playing Crysis on high settings, but they are not entering the console hardware market.
I remember hearing that they didn't want to necessarily make a console, but they wanted a "universal" console to make it easier for developers and publishers. :roll:
Why would EA risk the revenue? They do pretty well for themselves by publishing for the current consoles. To have their own console they would have to cannibalize their own market by making their games exclusive for their console. Do you really think they would absolutely destroy their Madden income to do this?
