Poll Is Titanfall 2 worth buying ONLY as a singleplayer game? (27 votes)

Yes 52%
No 15%
Other 33%

Wondering if Titanfall 2 is worth buying if I have ZERO interest in anything but the single player game.

Obviously I avoided Titanfall 1, and assumed I would with 2 also, but a magazine I was reading acted like the single player game was really really good, not just some demo for the deathmatch stuff.

Any thoughts?

I find it to be acceptable for a campaign. It's not very long though, I personally wouldn't buy the game just to play that unless you find it for $10 or less.

I picked it up for $40 Canadian and I have only played the multiplayer. I believe it's now $30. I found the single player to be fun. Its kinda short but still fun. Pick it up and play through it, then sell it.

I would say yes. The campaign wasn't really long but it was excellent.

Easy answer there.

Of course not. Titanfall is a Mp game that kinda semi learned from it´s mistake with the first and included a semi ok SP.

But that part is nowhere near 60$, so unless you can get it for 10-15$ i would stay away.

I can't give you a proper answer but from my knowledge its main focus is online multiplayer.

If you want a single player FPS experience/ and haven't played these it would be better to look into-

D00M, the two Shadow Warrior games, Bioshock collection, or even the Borderlands collection.

The campaign was great but I wouldn't buy it for just that unless you can get it for cheap. The multiplayer is a lot of fun but a bit harder to get into than CoD or battlefield just because of how crucial the movement system is. I usually send noobs requests just to show them the ropes because a vet vs someone new is just not fair in this game lol

@Jacanuk: its consistently been on sale on Ps4 and other platforms. 29.99 is still a tad high if all he's going to play is the campaign but its been a while since it sat at 60

Its fun, but just for SP, I wouldnt spend over $15. I havent finished it, but what I have played so far is fun and interesting. Time travel segment is awesome.

It's better than latest cod or bf1 campaign, but still maybe worth 10 bucks for sp. And, I found the mp lackluster.

It has a GREAT singleplayer campaign in my opinion, but it is definitely a vehicle for multiplayer for the most part; I would say it is worth it at 35 dollars or less if you plan on just the offline portion, which you should have no problem finding at this point.

The campaign is a lot of fun, decent enough story, great action, really awesome level design. It has a really neat "bromance" (I use that term loosely) between your character and the Titan you pilot; the two of you form a pretty tight bond, it's a lot of fun to watch the two of you grow close and kick ass together.

I mean, CoD IW, BF1, Deus Ex MD, and Titanfall 2 all came out roughly at the same time and I definitely found Titanfall 2 better than all of them concerning singleplayer. The only other game that came out around that time that was better was Dishonored 2 (again, from a singleplayer standpoint). You could argue Deus Ex MD was better due to length, RPG elements (character interaction, skills, etc) but Titanfall 2 had such a good fun:time investment ratio it was nuts.

If its a hevaily discounted price then sure. If not, no. The campaign is ok, kinda fun and funny at times but nothing special. This game is all about the mp and its the best mp shooter I've played in years.

I think this shows that there should be an option to be able to buy MP and SP seperately. Like 35 each would cut it. I wouldn't buy SP though, not unless it gets a heavy discount.
