It depends where your from? If you live in the UK I could recommend a few, if not then I can only recommend Ebay or play-asia.

Rent da games, play games at friends house or demos, trials borrow, trade, buy used buy on eBay whatever you got to do to get your hands on a game youre interested in without biting the bullet at retail talk to your neighbors, family, friends, classmates, coworkers whoever you feel comfortable talking up games Life is short but sitting on your hands for a while can let the dust settle on a game.  Patience is a virtue

I like to save money, so I only buy titles I'm sure I'm going to enjoy. This doesn't always mean that they get good scores in reviews and stuff.

If can always look on Craigslist as well.  If they don't have games listed, they'll have garage sales listed.  You can get the best deals there.  "Atari 2600 and 30 games?  Hmm...I could give you $5 because they're so old."

I just bought XIII ($5), Hitman Contracts ($7), and Chronicles of Riddick ($10) for xbox from Blockbuster.  I'll probably not even get around to playing them, but they were just so cheap that I couldn't resist.  (There might be cheaper deals out there, but I'm not going to bother looking for them. )
