Okay so my Xbox360 red ringed a few weeks ago. I sent it in and just got it back (with a free month of XBL!) but...it's not my console. It's a different serial # (same model thiough, the Elite). It seems to work but, do I have to register this new console now? Does my warranty transfer? Do I have to do anything else?

Whenever you send a system in for repair if they replace it with another one they automatically register the replacement and the warranty is transferred over to the replacement.

Absoultely correct, you don't have to do anything at all, warrany transfer and DRM transfer have all been taken care of for you.
