Just wondering if anyone else bought and enjoyed these games that sold poorly?

Here are some games that I really enjoyed. But these are games that I feel was a commercial failure...and even critical failure.

Anyway, here they are:

  • Haunting Ground
  • GrimGrimoire
  • Ar Tonelico
  • God Hand

I'm just wondering if anyone else bought these games? I think they're all pretty good.

The only one I have is God Hand. It was actually pretty fun. Crazy story line, crazy characters, crazy fighting system, a little on the short side though.

Haunting Ground was a classic I wish Capcom would do a sequel.

I bought GrimGrimoire. I love it even though I'm not a big RTS fan.

I've got God Hand, and I'd like to get GrimGrimoire, but I have a sneaky suspicion that I would buy it, and it would get lost in my backlog and I'd never finish it...

The only one I have is God Hand as well and yeah I really like that game. I'd kind of like to try out those other ones but with so many games that I want to buy right now they've been put on the back burner for me and it's hard to say when or even if I'll get around to them.

I've got God Hand. My first imrpessions were "What a waste of money". I stuck with it and ended up enjoying it a lot.

I dont know if I'd say it was a commercial failure. It definitely seems like a very low budget game, so Capcom probably could have turned a profit on something as meager as 100k worldwide.

Haunting Ground started off as a decent game, but as I played through it I became increasingly annoyed with its design choices and clumsy control scheme until I just gave up.

I enjoyed Haunting Ground quite a bit. It had all of the same elements that Clock Tower had, only they were much more improved and enjoyable. It's pretty scary at times, too, since I jumped a few times. Knowing that the enemy can just appear anywhere and you having to run away while the enemy is frantically chasing after you makes for a manic, yet satisfying experience. Also, the protagonist is quite hot IMO . But this is probably one of the most overlooked survival horror games out there
