The new game is described as a side story that will focus on other characters. The "new series" is set to be announced at the 2007 Tokyo Game Show.

Nor do I. I just felt that the desert of Keyblades looked a little non-prequel. Perhaps something like Final Fantasy Tactics and Final Fantasy 12 only more closely related than just the world and landscape.
