Klonoa: Door to Phantomile, PSX - Appreciation Thread

Wow ... this game is so much fun. It's on par with the some of the best 2d platformers ever (Super Mario World 1 & 2 on the SNES). Actually, given that the game has 2.5d graphics, with really cool 32-bit level design, while being able to keep everything that was fun about those original SNES Mario games, I would say it's even better. Controls are great, story is great, unique characters/baddies are great, sound is great, and the puzzles are just right in terms of their difficulty. This game does not get the attention/recognition it deserved. A real timeless classic on the original playstation. I HIGHLY recommend it -- even to gamers not that big of a fan of the genre.

Ya its a great game but the Playstation version is pretty hard to find. Besides its also on Wii ($30 new but I think the price was cut) with cleaned up graphics. Which IS easy to find.

I have the PS1 demo and the Wii remake since the original is so hard to find. Great underrated platformer.

Great game... the ending made me want to cry :(

I've wanted to play it for a while, but haven't been able to find a copy. I did play Klonoa Empire of Dreams for the GBA though, and must say it was rather enjoyable.

The Original version is hard to find I've played other Klonoa games expect for the Wii version. But I do hope that it appears on the Playstation Network
