Konami vs Capcom

Which is the superior company?

I say Konami, but mainly cause Metal Gear Solid and Silent Hill are my favorite games. I like Capcom too, because of games like Devil May Cry, Street Fighter, and Resident Evil. But i have always felt Konami as superior because of the fantastic and intelligent story they put into there games.

I'm going to have to go with Capcom. Konami is a mere shadow of it's former self sadly. I was disappointed with MGS4 (looking forward to MGS:PW though) and Team Silent is no more and Yamaoka is gone I have lost interest in the SH franchise.

I only have a Gamecube so I never played Silent Hill and Metal Gear Solid. On the other hand, I enjoyed playing REmake and RE4... and I used to play Street Fighter II on the SNES.

Capcom!

Street Fighter, Mega Man, Resident Evil, and Darkstalkers.

Hmm... I guess I'd gave to go with Capcom, but Castlevania is awesome.

Nowadays I would definitely say Capcom. They've been on fire this gen. Back in the late '80's early '90's Konami were like gaming gods to me with such awesome games like Contra III, Super Castlevania IV, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time, Axelay, etc. for the SNES and some fantastic games for the arcades like TMNT, The Simpsons, Lethal Enforcers, etc. I loved the rivalry between these two developers back in the day. Konami still crank out some great games like Gradius V, Zone of the Enders: Second Runner, Suikoden V, and of course the Metal Gear Solid games but they just don't seem to be the same as they once were. It's great to see them coming back with the Rebirth games and I do have very high hopes for Castlevania: Lord of Darkness.

I've lost interest with Konami the only good titles they release are Metal Gear Solid games but I'm not a massive fan of the series and the fact Konami now have thrid party developers doing the Silent Hill games the Japanese were the best developers for that series Team Silent. Capcom is better the Resident Evil series in my opinion is still going strong and I really enjoy the series and I can't wait for the next Dead Rising it should be a lot better than the 1st.

When I was younger Konami were the best,right up there with Nintendo.mgs1,excitebike,iss,castlevania,silent hill 1 and so many more but since the early 2000's they've been losing it,Capcom on the other hand were always good but since Konami's slide they've been getting alot more of my attention.RE4,lost planet,dead rising,zelda-oracles and a few others.Capcom for me now but Konami up till early 2000.faheem_s_i

I liek Capcome more. They jsut do better and more fun games. Konami haven't made anythingcool since years imo... (except PES 10)

I like Capcom more as of right now. In the past I only knew Capcom as the company who made great fighters and a bunch of games I've never played. This gen I've been enjoying a lot of Capcom titles that aren't fighters. Konami... they're the company who makes a bunch of games I've never played and none of their titles this gen have encouraged me to try them out. If I get a Wii, Silent Hill might change that though.
