Language Censor Box for gaming systems?

I friend told me that there was a box you can buy the would blank out the vulgar language when you hooked it up to you gaming system. I have a PS3. I have called everywhere around town and looked online, but cannot find anything like this. I was thinking that it may be like the new DVD players that have a censor option. Any help is greatly appreciated.

My thinking would be that it depends on the game. I know there are PC games that will censor profanity from other users, but I'm not sure about console games.
