Link. It's the very first banner in the rotation on Sony's playstation store site, yet they have not announced it to the press. Looks like a whoopsie on someones part, but this was already confirmed by a loose lipped Sony official from Turkey, so it doesn't surprise me much. But yes, it's $60. I don't mind, because I haven't even played this game yet. (if you try to pre-order it now you get an error)

I wanted to, but like most PS3 games I want to play, I run into the problem of needing to play them on, well… PS3. Which feels clunky, slow, and horribly outdated now after my time wight he new system. For me, this is great news. The last batch of games to hit PS4 have been incredibly disappointing. Infamous was too short and lacked meaningful activities, and the latest two indie games, Mercenary Kings and Strike Suit Zero, have just been boring/bad.

I'm ready for a great game that has some actual meat to it.

@Gargus: I think we've had this conversation before, Gargus. I'm tired of it.

Old news, but I think it is good news for those who have not played it. They will get a good game that with some added polish.

For those who have, I do not think the replay value is there, especially at $60.

I have the PS3 version so $60 is more than I'm willing to pay for an HD version, but I'll pick it up once the price drops.

I'm sure my brother (ad admirer of TLOU who didn't have a PS3 last gen) will get it one day one.

Meh. "Remastered". It looked and played fine on the PS3. I doubt it's going to be a huge difference, aside from a higher/more consistent frame rate. But I guess I can't blame them for trying to milk as much money possible out of what was a very successful and, in my opinion, very good game.

However, if they made it so people who already own The Last of Us could buy the PS4 version at a discount, similar to the deal they offered with games like Battlefield and Assassin's Creed, that'd be awesome. Of course, I don't know how that would work, especially with people who own physical copies. It's a long shot, but it's probably the only way I'd buy the game again, assuming it was $10 like the past upgrade offers. But that's very unlikely since people will probably eat this up for full price regardless.

Yeah Infamous was a huge disappointment. The PS4 lineup is just bad right now. MGS is the best thing on the system.

TLOU was recently released and it feels particularly to early to have a re-release.

Well for me this is cool news. I haven't gotten the game yet and would like to get a PS4 sometime in the future so getting a PS4 version sounds good to me.

Sony has offered a few more details. Its being worked on by ND, includes all of the DLC, almost everything is improved (though its worth noting that there is no mention of framerate) and it will include a director's commentary. I love such commentaries and wish more games had them.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2014/04/09/the-last-of-us-remastered-coming-to-ps4-summer-2014/

Moving our efforts to the PS4 has allowed us to remaster an already phenomenal looking The Last of Us in 1080p with a list of upgrades including higher resolution character models, improved shadows and lighting, upgraded textures, along with even more improvements. We love setting challenging technical hurdles for us when working on each game – and this is no different. We’ve been working hard on The Last of Us Remastered to release a next-gen evolution worthy of the 200+ Game of the Year awards, not to mention the acclaim and expectations of our fans. We will be revealing more detailed information about the upgrades for the PS4 version in the coming months.

In addition to all the technical updates, we’re also including an exclusive director’s commentary for all in-game cinematics featuring Creative Director and Writer, Neil Druckmann; Voice Actor, Troy Baker, who plays Joel; and BAFTA Award winning Voice Actress, Ashley Johnson, who plays Ellie.

I experienced utter boredom. The loading times were a bit long, but not a deal breaker. The game itself just wasn't any fun.

Infamous could have been great if it had about ten more hours of content and more meaningful side activities. It has all the elements of a great game, their just isn't enough actual game there to carry it over the finish line. It ends way too damn quickly, and it has very little replay value. Anyone who hasn't bought it, I recommend holding out until it hits about $30. For that price, it'd be a much better value. At $60, it's a rip off.

@Randolph:

I felt the opposite. Most open world games just drag on for me with an unnecessary reliance on padding the ****er out. This one could have been longer, but not by much. At least for me that is. I loved the side activities, a big improvement over Infamous 1 and 2. Instead of some random side mission you focused this time on actually removing influence from the district as well as lots of combat opportunities to enjoy and expand your move set. The game is obviously built to be played through twice and that's exactly what I did. About 20 or so hours of content for me and a platinum trophy. Easily worth the asking price. Best core gameplay in the series by far.

And on to the topic... more of TLOU! Count me the **** in. I will absolutely purchase this day one. Can't hurt to own another copy (plus all multiplayer and single player DLC, visual upgrades on disc) of the greatest game ever made. I recently purchased the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition and had a great time, absolutely beautiful game on the PS4. This one though should be even better.

Bought the original, all the DLC, bought the Survivor's Edition which I still haven't opened, so call me a sucka!!! A triple-dippin' mutha f---er!! Day one, thanks!

I'll get it just to have a locked FPS, even if it's only 30, everything else is just icing on the cake. The framerate was by far the worst part and it'd be Heaven being able to play this without having it constantly being dragged through the mud at points.

Great news!

@dvader654: I'm glad I'm not the only one who was disappointed in Infamous. It started out with so much promise -- those visuals, andTroy Baker! But 2 hours in, it becomes clear that you've seen all the game has to offer, after that it's just the same shit over and over. I couldn't return to Titanfall fast enough.

Already watched it on youtube, so I don't need the game. Good for those who haven't experienced it I guess.

heheh going to pre-order it as soon as possible. Loved my time with the game on my PS3, and now it's remastered with better graphics and the DLC? *mouth drools* I'm in heaven, what more could you want... Now all I need is the Uncharted trilogy and I'll cry with joy.

I do not think I will double dip unless the PS4 version features graphics which are substantially better than the original version and it contains all the DLC.

We don't yet have a hard date or a formal announcement, but a couple different major retailers have indicated TLOU will hit this June.

http://www.dualshockers.com/2014/04/15/the-last-of-us-ps4-release-pegged-on-620-by-best-buy-and-target-european-retailers-list-627-and-613/

While Sony hasn’t announced a release date of The Last of Us Remastered, several retailers have already posted their own dates across both sides of the Atlantic Ocean.

Since I don't own a PS3, this is great news for me, since I will have a way to experience what everybody on the planet seems to be calling a great experience. So I'm looking forward to delving into this story and seeing what everyone is fussing all about when it arrives on PS4. And yes, before you ask, I have it pre-ordered on Amazon already! :)

Does anybody know if there is or will be a real sequel to the game?

I havent checked out the DLC s yet and have no idea what they are about. If they are worth the time I will get them. So recommendations would be appreciated
