Legacy of Kain Series

how is it?...never played it but it looks cool and im looking for some old games to pick up...

...and whats the order of the series i know it ties into blood omen right?...im just not sure how and if there is any order i should try to play the games out....thanks

The first game is really good. The second one is basically good but the fighting system is dated now and I can't really remember Defiance...

Some of the game-mechanics feel old now but the epic story and atmosphere makes up for it. Definitely play the first one, it's a classic!!

I've only played the original, but it was an extremely fun top-down RPG ala Zelda... I haven't played any of the 3D ones, but I've been meaning to track them downzh666

is there another title i dont know about? the first one (to my knowledge) was a 3d platformer, not a bird's-eye RPG...

Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen was the original title it was on the PS1 and PC, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver was the spinoff sequel, and the first one to go 3D...

Blood Omen 2 was a straight-up action-adventure that did do some things with the story line, though not much. It was a pretty fun game, though.

Defiance was a pretty trippy time warp and parallel dimension type game, and I really enjoyed it. It had a fair amount of the mythos involved.

The best one IMO is Soul Reaver for PS, then soul reaver for PS2 is nice but not as it´s predecessor.

And the Blood Omen, I never find it as complex as the SR
