Lionhead Studios was once my favorite game producer. Look at the quality games they put out. Black and White, Fable, and The Movies. The Movies was by far my favorite PC game of all time. And it was a fun game that opened up some creative aspect for gamers. The first black mark on their record was giving up on the game so fast. They only made one expansion for it and they were done with it. They said the game wasn't getting enough attention, but you could see the out roar of fans wanting them to make another expansion. They just didn't listen and let the game die and the community along with it. The second black on their record was Fable 2. The first Fable was amazing. I think a lot of people can agree with that. It was fun and entertaining for a very long time. Fable 2 comes along and all the "improvements" they made to the game in the end just made the game worse. Lionhead is on the tipping point of losing me as a fan and I was wondering if anyone else agrees with me that their studio is losing their touch.

I'm pretty sure that they are only a developer and not a publisher. Also many people felt that Fable 2 was a great game and what the first one should have been. That seems to be the general idea at least.

I meant developer. Sorry about that. And a lot of the people I have talked to at least didn't like Fable 2 as much as Fable 1. But maybe the community here disagrees. Just thought I would see what others think.

Well the only games that I recall playing from them was a little bit of Fable and Fable II. I didn't play much of Fable but what I did play I found enjoyable. I picked up Fable II and played through that game and absolutely loved it. I found it to be a fantastic game and one I'll surely play much more of. So I'm quite happy with them myself.

The Movies was a failure. Although not a bad game, it underperformed in sales. And then Lionhead was bought by Microsoft, which probably complicated the relationship between Lionhead and Activision. But they did get one expansion pack released, and managed to keep The Movies Online running for three years. That's more than some games get.
