Looking for a really old Japanese MegaDrive game...

About 15 years ago, a friend and I used to play this Japanese game for the MegaDrive at some game console rental place near our school. I've been trying to look for it, but I don't know the name of the game.

It's a side-scroller hack-n-slash type game, and the theme is Kabuki. The tone of the game is not serious. It's comedic, over-the-top, and very very eccentric (well, you know the Japanese!). At the time, I couldn't read any Japanese, so my friend and I used to refer to it as the "Kabuki" game. I assume it was never released for the Genesis.

Does anyone have an idea what the name of this game might be?

The video itself is a review of the Gen-X dual station console that plays NES/Genesis (Mega Drive), but at about 8 minutes into it, the guy puts in Kabuki Quantum Fighters (from Japan) and starts it up
